TWIZZLER™

Lepironia articulata

Twizzler™ has twisted, glaucous, reed like foliage. It creates an architectural element for water features, ponds, constructed wetlands, bog gardens and ornamental pots. This plant can be used in both wet and dry landscapes.Twizzler flowers from summer through to winter with small conical shaped seed head emerging from the upper reed stems.

Dimensions: 1-1.3 m high x 400-600 mm wide

Position: Full sun to 70% part shade. Suited to coastal conditions, not as good appearance if fully exposed to seaside.  If in dry garden beds, needs summer watering.Can be planted in 200 mm deep water.

Soil Types: Loam to clay loam moist soils.

Uses: Water feature, ponds, wetlands, bog gardens, ornamental pots. Both wet and dry landscapes.

Adenanthos sericea

Dwarf Woolly Bush is an attractive small shrub with its silver/ green woolly soft foliage and tiny pale red flowers in spring.

POSITION: Grows best in full sun with good airflow and in well drained soils. Ideal for coastal locations where rainfall is consistent. This Plant will tolerate short periods of dry and is not suited to humid climates.

CARE: This plant requires very little maintenance as its textural compact habit naturally forms a good shape requiring little or no pruning. Mulching around the base of the plant will help to conserve moisture.

USES: Dwarf Woolly Bush is an excellent plant for creating contrasting textures within the landscape. This plant can be used as a feature border to enhance colour and texture contrast between plants or can be planted in informal garden beds.
